June Rides & Events

We will be the venue of one event this month. June 11th New2Seattle will be hosting a New2Biking event meant to give information to people new to cycling or interested in getting started. This will be a social and educational event with snack and beverages. Topics covered include popular commuting routes, how to be visible and stay dry, as well as how to get connected in the cycling community. Our co-ed Shop Rides will continue this month on Sundays at 9am. These rides will be approx. 15 miles at a 12-14mph average speed. There will also be a co-ed Seward Park ride on Sunday June 29th. This will be a leisurely paced ride meant to enjoy Bicycle Sunday where Lake Washington Blvd. is closed off to cars and open to cyclists! There will be several women's rides this month. The Women's beginner city ride will take place on the 21st at 9:00am, this is the perfect ride for those that are interested in commuting or getting around town by bike and are nervous to get started. This is a ride to ask all of your questions, go over the rules of the road and get some commuting tips. There will be two women's rides at a ~12mph average pace taking place on June 7th at 9am and June 19th at 7:10pm, these rides are social and pace can vary. The 28th will be a faster paced women's ride that will be a loop around Mercer Island.
